With the new year on the horizon, we’re ready to welcome a fresh generation of signage. Crafted from a material that’s warm, natural, and long requested by our partners, our wooden signs will provide a unique addition to our product offerings. After months of designing, refining, shaping and testing, our wooden signs are now ready to make their debut.
Why did we choose to develop this product? The answer lies in a blend of curiosity, sustainability, and an increasing demand for more natural-looking interior wayfinding. But more on that later…
A collection with a familiar logic but an entirely new feel
At launch, our wooden signs come exclusively in wall-mounted and standard size versions, thoughtfully aligned with the dimensions of our well-known I-Sign Eco program. You can request our wooden signs in the following dimensions:
- 150 × 150 mm
- 150 × 300 mm
- DIN A6
- DIN A5
- DIN A4
- DIN A3
As always, these are inlay dimensions, meaning the actual frame is subtly larger to accommodate perfectly sized inserts. Each frame is designed to be installed in both portrait and landscape, offering maximum flexibility.
Each wooden frame comes with a 0,7 mm acrylic sheet. By combining this acrylic sheet with a 150 – 170 gram/m² paper inlay, you can finalise your wooden signs.

Why wood? The story behind the decision

We decided to opt for wooden because we received a lot of requests for a more ecologically friendly signage solution. As well as many questions for wood look aluminium frames. These requests got us thinking, if so many clients are looking for a natural aesthetic, why not create the real thing? Why imitate wood when we can work with it directly?
This insight led us into months of development to ensure our ability to create a wooden sign that isn’t just a qualitative product but also reflects the modern, slim edge Cosign look for which our indoor wayfinding solutions are known for. Today, after extensive durability tests and design iterations, we’re confident we’ve created a product that is not only visually distinctive but also built to last.
Sustainability at the core
Our wooden frames are crafted from high-quality MDF carrying the FSC Mix® label. This label guarantees that the wood originates from:
- Responsibly managed forests
- Recycled materials
- Production processes that respect biodiversity, nature, and local communities
To carry the FSC Mix® label, at least 70% of the material needs to consist of FSC worthy components. It’s the mixture of materials from FSC-certified forest and/or recycled or controlled wood sources.
